life size? Seriously, I am looking at some of thse newer cameras and thinking, man, you could make life size prints from that! Well, you know, depending on the actual size of your subject. Ha! You’d need a plasma mount to hold the frame, though wouldn’t you? Yeah, the frame size they don’t make yet. But then again, it might be worth it to freeze your babies in that one perfect moment, huh?

Muhahahahahaha. I just watched a video that made me giggle. It’s about a barbie-esque doll who is… umm, well, like my friend said the other day –”aspire to be Barbie–that doll has everything”. Only, you know, she used a different word for doll. It began with a b and rhymed with itch. Anyway, the video is put out by Gonnabe.com, and while the page invited me to find more vids on their site, Gonnabe.com I didn’t find any. I guess I got sidetracked checking out the kids. That’s just the way I am, I guess. Always a sucker for a red head, and there happened to be one right there on the front page, with a million dollar smile.

I finally took those portraits, just as I had been threatening to do so long. I used the prints in collage frames for our relatives, and gave them as “just because” gifts. Granny and Aunt were happy with theirs, but I am still needing to ship on out to my FIL. I’m thinkng thatI’ll have dh drop it off at a pack and ship place, becauseit’s not a standard size, and I don’t want to deal with custom boxes. I’m lazy that way. You can see the pictures here.

to take portraits of my kids this week. In order to do that, I need a memory upgrade in the form of a new camera card, OR the organizing of an old one. I wonder which I will find first, time or money? Probably time. It’s supposed to be grey tomorrow, so maybe I can get the organizing done in the morning, and snap some shots tomorrow afternoon and evening.

not blogging, just walking. I know I said there would eventually be some pictures of my neighborhood here, and there will be eventually, but I haven’t been walking in quite some time, due to dh’s work schedule and then the crazy heat. After all, the idea is to lose weight via healthy food choices and moderate exercise, not to induce a heart attack via heat prostration. I’;m not yet ready to spend time looking for a diet pill that works, but I do miss my walks.

But just in case dh can’t fix it, I’ve already started scoping out new laptops. The best buy I’ve found so far on a system that meets my requirements is more than I am comfortable paying at this point. And just a note on technology–why is it that as soon as you finally have all the toys you think you want, they start breaking or there is a techno breakthrough of some magnitude? Yeah, so you keep having to buy stuff, that’s why, LOL!

and it’s still broken. Because Wal-mart Warranties suck, that is why. Sigh. I am hopeful dh can fix it. It’s not like it’s tactical gear by any stretch, but The whole point of getting a laptop is portability, and you have to admit that there isn’t anything particularly portable about an external monitor, now is there? Didn’t think so. CARRY ON!

I told you last week that I was doing my posting because I had to ship this machine off. Well, I didn’t get teh box until Thursday, and then DH worked really late on Friday, so the laptop gets packed up in the morning. For real! And I mean it this time. Whatever will I do with my extra time? Take photos? Read Miracleburn reviews? Play with the kids? Clean house?

Hmm, what about napping?

So, I have posted three times today and this is the fourth. There’s a method to my madness. I have to send my computer off to be repaired, and I wanted to get some posts made before I do that. I’ll be sing dh’s machine while mine is gone, but I don’t want to have to be at it all the time, so I am beavering away tonight. I know I’ll have mine back way before it’s time to print the Halloween invitations, but when you are used to having your own machine, set up just so, then it’s a real drag to have to share.
