with no pictures. Because I am not leaving the house. Because it is too hot. And if it is not too hot, it is raining. Sorry. I guess I could lift some pictures from the Wilmington NC real estate and pretend they were mine, but that wold be like cheating, yk? Actually, it wouldn’t be like cheating, it would be cheating. And I don’t do that, because it is rude. Also illegal. I’d rather be hot, wet and boring than rude and illegal.

I actually used my camera quite a bit over the past few days. I hauled out all my craft stuff and created a photographic record of it’s excess. It was pretty overwhelming. In the process I discovered that I have lost my needlepoint, and I did not find any new pocket watches to make up for that loss. Also, have you seen my pearls?

When you go out to parties, do you take pictures of the people? Sure we all do. But do you remember to snap a few shots of the decor and food? These shots are fun, too. One of my favorite shots ever was of a long string of balloon, being blown back by an industrial fan. It was just the kind of shot that would make great birthday invitations. Don’t be afraid to experiment. These days, it’s practically free to do so!

Have you ever had yout portrait made in one of those places with vintage clothing? You know, the ones that let you dress up like the old west or put on renaissance clothing and snap your pic with a friend? One of my favorite things is a photo like that, and I’m in it with my bff from high school. That photo hangs on my living room wall.

not drugs. The camera. This blog used to be about cameras and the pictures I and others took with them. And books about same. I really wanted to spend time working on my photography, and this blog seemed like the perfect excuse to do so. And I think that I was doing so, for as long as I was doing the PAD. Now that I don;t do that anymore, I find myself (once again), not taking very many pictures. If only one in five thosand shots is glorious, I really need to fire off four thousand, nine hundred and ninety nine, yk? Yeah. So. Maybe.

Well, I am shopping for a new toy again, and unfortunately, it is still not a camera. My display is ka-put and I am in the market for a new notebook computer. I had hoped to have it before September, in time for a trip I am planning. If my own personal current Series of Unfortunate Events does not soon surcease, however, there may be no September trip. Getting there is cheap enough, I suppose, but a girl must eat and sleep, even away from home, yk?

That’s where those pictures in the collage frame are. The ones that should be a my Father-in-laws by now. The van has to go back in he shop, and dh didn’t get them mailed off, and so I guess it will now wait untol next week. I don;t think he’s planning to walk to the post office and ask if they have shipping boxes to fit the frame, yk?
